About Common Tone Press

COMMON |ˈkämən | TONE | tōn
noun 1. A shared note, or tone, between two otherwise unrelated chords that often serves as a liaison between distant keys.

Common Tone Press is a program of Common Tone Arts — a non-profit arts organization dedicated to creating positive change for a diverse world through arts education and creative music.

Common Tone Press is musician operated. Our intent is to both lower the costs of sharing new music and pedagogical materials by eliminating expensive overhead and middlemen and to pass along any profits directly to the composers.

All of our music is available as PDF download for easy printing, low cost, and instant access. Hard copies are available for a nominal print-on-demand and shipping fee.
